AKCA Judge Bob Winkler commented that this koi has everything that one could desire in a Kohaku and that one could expect this koi to retain these characteristics as it matures. Head Judge Chai Taevanitcharoen commented that this was his favorite Kohaku in the Show, which just goes to show that Jim has a very discriminating eye.
Jim says that he was a little nervous at first as this was the first time that he had bought a koi based on a photograph, and it was his first time to purchase from the Internet Koi Auction at Nishikigoi.com.....but he was all smiles this morning as he accepted his trophy for Baby Grand Champion!

Welcome to the new Nishikigoi.com online auction!
January 31, 2007
Thank you for using Nishikigoi.com the On-line Koi Auction for Quality Japanese Koi. In response to nearly a year of input, comments and request from users like yourselves, we have finally completed an entirely new software program for Nishikigoi.com that we hope incorporates most if not all of the features that you have been asking for.
The look and feel of the Nishikigoi.com remains largely unchanged, but we have added larger photos of the Koi as well as improved the ease of tracking the Koi that you have bid on.
One of the most common complaints that we received in past year, was that bidders did not have a chance to respond to "sniper" bids that were placed seconds before the scheduled end of the Auction, effectively "stealing" the Koi at the last minute. This situation has been resolved by a new feature that will automatically extend the auction by five minutes anytime a "last minute" bid is placed, giving you ample time for a response.
Our goal at Nishikigoi.com is to provide you with a secure and easy to use On-line Koi Auction, offering quality Japanese Koi from Japan's leading breeders. We want to thank you for your support over the past year and we look forward to taking care of all your Koi needs in the years to come.
